Here are additional tips that have worked for our customers:
- The "Flip and Peel" Method: Instead of pulling the decal up, turn it over and pull the backing paper away from the decal at a 120-degree angle. If parts stick, roll the backing back over and press it down before continuing.
- Burnish First: Use a plastic squeegee, credit card, or your fingernail to rub the transfer tape over the decal, ensuring a strong bond before trying to separate them.
- Heat Application: If the vinyl is stubborn, gently heat the backing paper with a hairdryer to soften the adhesive.
- Weeding Tool/Needle: Carefully slide a sharp tool under a corner of the vinyl to start the lift.
- Tape Method: Apply a small piece of sticky tape to the back of the decal, then peel to separate the backing from the vinyl.
- Bend the Backing: Bend the corner of the sticker or the backing paper to create a small gap, making it easier to separate.
